Summary:
My fellow condors and I, walk in to Olive Garden for dinner after a long day of ultimate. The first thing we see when we walk in is the team we beat in the last round, Monster. The whole team is waiting to destroy the pasta shop but we, being the ballers we are, walk straight up to the front desk and they seat us immediately. The look of defeat is smeared across their face like the mud that was kicked up as my teammates burned them deep just a few hours before. Moral of the story, always have your friends that ate ahead of you but in your reservation.
Victory 2
Opponent: Rhett
Location: Sideline before the Johny Bravo game.
Summary(in conversation form):
Rhett: Allen, what is this turn on my stat sheet?
Allen: I don’t remember there were so many.
Rhett: Was it the one where Robbie didn’t body out his defender and he got D’ed.
Allen: Sure.
Rhett: Well that’s his fault then right, he should get the turn.
Allen: Well if his defender was that close, you shouldn’t have thrown it because it wasn’t a 100% throw, with very little room for error.
Rhett: I had to throw it.
Allen: Why not dump it?
Rhett: Robbie should have run through and gotten his body in the way of his defender. Hey, Robbie. Wouldn’t you agree that this is your turn when I threw it to you last game and you didn’t run through it?
Robbie: You mean the one that you threw behind me and my defender got it?
Allen:
Rhett: Allen, you go to hell.
Victory 3
Opponent: Box and KG
Location: The airport Monday morning.
Summary:
My flight with Robbie was at 4pm on Monday after regionals, so we hitched a ride with Box and KG to the airport to try and catch an earlier flight. Their flight was at 11am so we had plenty of time to goof around. When we signed in we got on stand by for a 9:10am flight. It was 9am when we got in line for security. We weren’t going to make it our stand by flight so we went to the gate of our original flight. At the gate they said that our stand by flight was delayed and was boarding right then. So we booked it over to the other gate and walked on the plane. We landed a little after 11am, beating Box and KG to LA before they even left Colorado. Count it.
